The NBTC is inviting mobile virtual network operators (MVNO) to discuss on MVNO issues (again)

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) says it is conducting a study on the problems and guidelines for promoting and regulating Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) services for the revision of its draft announcement regarding MVNO services.

To ensure a comprehensive and inclusive study, the NBTC says it is holding a focus group meeting to gather feedback from MVNO operators (again). This meeting will provide a platform for the virtual operators to share their opinions and suggestions regarding the regulation and promotion of MVNO services in Thailand.


Meeting Topics:

NBTC says the meeting will cover issues related to MVNO services, including:

1. Licensing and service models (Full MVNO)

2. Negotiation, contract agreements, and compliance

3. MVNO wholesale service costs

4. Regulatory fees (telecommunications license and numbering fees)

5. MVNO service promotion and regulatory measures

6. Other issues.

  • Time: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Location: Meeting Room 5021, 2nd Floor, The Auditorium Building at NBTC Office, Soi Sailom.


Meeting Objectives:

  • To gather feedback and suggestions from MVNA and MVNO operators regarding MVNO service issues and promotion.
  • To use the gathered information to revise the NBTC’s draft announcement on MVNO services.

Interested parties can submit written comments to the NBTC by April 25, 2025, with the subject line “Comments on MVNO Service Issues and Promotion Guidelines.”
